I am certain that the deer and other animals visit more often than I actually see them. Zeke seems to spend the most time out in the catio these days. We start out today with Scooby and Zeke in the catio. They spot a deer in the woods. When the deer approaches, Scooby runs inside and hides under the bed! Zeke stays where he is at. I am certain he has seen the deer frequently. Zeke has no fear of the deer. The deer looks like the one I took photos of last time. Zeke stayed outside the entire afternoon, while Scooby ran around like his tail was on fire here and there. Finally he calmed down.

Easy capture really. I have to go outside and approach the deer waving my arms to get them to leave! They were becoming pests!

Zeke’s a brave cat. Can’t say the same about Scooby, though. He seems to be living up to the standards of courage set by his doggy namesake. 🙂

Oh der arme Scooby! Scheint ihm wohl fremd zu sein so ein Reh oder Hirsch. Ich finde es toll das diese bei dir bis in den Garten kommen. Wir wohnen zwar am Waldrand, aber sehen selten Rehe. Das liegt vermutlich an den Weiden der Kühe. Es ist spannend für die beiden anderen Katzen wenn im Garten was los ist was sie beobachten können. Tolle Bilder.

Liebe Julia,
Manchmal fangen die Katzen einen Vogel. Sie mögen Eichhörnchen beobachten. Es gibt auch Waschbären die besuchen. Kojoten sind allgemein, aber ich habe eine in der Nähe das Haus nicht gesehen. Ein Bär oder ein Berglöwe wandern manchmal in die Stadt. Ich will nicht einen von denjenigen sehen!

Das wäre auch was für Gismo^^ Er würde es lieben und auch stets danach Ausschau halten. Sobald er von oben aus seiner Loggia im Eiltempo nach unten in die Küche auf sein Fensterbrett gerannt kommt weiß ich immer dass er eine fremde Katze über das Grundstück hat laufen sehen.
Finde es toll das die Deer so nah an dein Haus kommen.

Ich verbringe meine ganze Zeit Blick aus den Fenstern nicht. Die Katzen geben einen Alarm, wenn sie etwas sehen. Manchmal ist es eine Katze oder ein Eichhörnchen oder ein Waschbär.

Deer have come right up to the wire looking for the cats. I have a picture somewhere from the past but I cannot find it.
