Scooby sleeping on the microwave from a photograph.

Scooby sleeping on top of the microwave

This was made using Affinity Designer. Several color layers were made.  Here is a six minute video of creating a two layer artwork.  I added this because people are asking.

  1. Wow, and I at first believed that this was something that you drew by hand. It is astounding what tools are available on the Internet and especially You Tube. In my house, there usually three or four cats that sleep on one end of the cabinet. I began putting a large folded towel there for them to lie on and now, they are there 95% of the time.

I have always allowed my cats free range so it appears that I have also contributed to behavior that some so called experts think should not be allowed.

    1. Sorry to disappoint but I did not draw this! I made sure to say it was from my photograph! I did not post the photo as it would make me look like less of a genius! Digital Art is a whole new field. You don’t need pens and brushes or paper or canvas anymore. # There are places not allowed for cats inside, and I remove cats when I discover them every time. Scooby got pulled off the microwave! Thanks for your comment Yvonne, and the time you took to write it. I appreciate it.

    1. As you can see he never strays far from the kitchen or the refrigerator. I ought to put a bed in there for him. “Diet” is a possibility for him in the near future, so he does not get confused with a lion.

    1. I will add this reply to the original post. The short answer is “magic”. I recommend accepting this answer. The long answer is way too long and complicated to be understood. The program used was “Affinity Designer”. Here is a video link showing how to do a two color illustration. Additional layers were created and colored in this photo. It is a Six Minute video–hope you make it to the end!
