Snow cats

Snow cats today shows Zeke and Scooby in the snow. The snow had just begun to fall, so they were not much bothered by it. Scooby did not mind having cold paws–at least for a little while he was good with it. Then he went to the back door and meowed to come inside. Zeke was just “chilling” literally in the catio. He eventually came in when Scooby came inside. Next week is going to be bitter cold. I suspect we all will stay inside by the fire.

Don’t have time to chat now! Got places to go! Need to get to the back door and go inside!

  1. Good idea to get back inside and warm those toesies. Thank you for the kind words you left on my blog for the loss of Prancie.

  2. I’m not sure if furry paws would be better or worse in snow. Better for insulation but worse for getting snow packed in his paws. He certainly is an adventurous kitty. And the very cold weather must help them develop a wonderfully thick coat.

  3. Brrr, Scooby! Seeing those pictures made me run to my room to get a pair of wool socks. I don’t know how critters walk around in snow without footgear. That said, I think I’d prefer snow to the nonstop fog we’ve been getting in Northern California. We get a peek of sunshine late in the afternoon, just before the sun goes down. Otherwise, it’s gloomy gray all day long!

    1. I am pretty used to gloomy grey, Hangaku! Scooby got some booties but they are knitted and just soak up the water, so they are pretty useless, even though they have reindeer pictured upon them. Perhaps they would be all right if he could FLY like a reindeer! Thanks for your visit and comment! 😺😺😺

    1. We are farther north than you are there in Trout Towne which may have a little to do with it. I like the snow and will keep it. Worms stayin’ down deep here I reckon! Too cold to be out by the water fishing anyway! The older I get, the more I enjoy the little comforts! Thanks for your visit and comment, Tabbies! 🐈🐈🐈

    1. Thanks for your comment Peggy! Scooby never turns down an opportunity to go outside., The upside for me is when he comes inside, he is tired and goes to sleep for hours, giving me and the other two cats some peace! 😺

    1. He, of all the cats, spends most of the time out there. Rain and snow, being a Maine Coon, do not bother him. He is not allowed ever to go walking outside, and he is fine with that! Thanks for your visit and comment Rene 😺

    1. I am sure you will get your snow sooner or later. Watching the weather app for your home. Bitter cold here forecast next week, so we shall see how it goes. I have no places I need to go next week so that is good. I will just throw a blanket over me and stay inside.

    1. I sort of doubt that but it depends where you live here how much snow you get! Expect more next week. The auto is parked in a warm dry garage and has the snow tyres on. I like snow myself as long as I don’t have to go out anywhere in it. Snugly inside the house by the fire is for me! Thanks for your visit and comments Kristiina! 😺

  4. Zeke thinks getting your toes cold is not all it is cracked up to be! Eric and Flynn loved to take their walks when it had snowed, not that we got it very often.

    1. There is an overhanging eve from the roof on the second floor that shelters the rear half of the catio from the weather, as long as it is not windy, so going out in bad weather is still an option. thanks for your comment and visit Jackie! 😺
PS I hung up the calendar of Eric and Flynn I won. Thanks again as it is very nice! 😺
