Opie says No to Snow

Opie says No to Snow. She made a big fuss for me to open the window leading to the catio. I didn’t want to let all that cold air in but she made a song and dance about it, so I relented. I knew she wouldn’t like it and I was right. One look out there was enough to bring her into the house and look at me as if it were my fault it was cold outside. So she settled down on my computer chair just for spite. Hopefully the snow is gone for the rest of this Winter and the “snow cat” blogs will be over.

  1. Of course, in Southern California we don’t have anything as drastic as snow but Frankie and Freddie always blame me on a gloomy day when there are no sunny spots to bask in. They look at me like, What the heck did you do with the sunshine? It’s YOUR responsibility to provide sunny spots on a regular basis, just like food and water! Yes, Opie is right… you are the guilty one!

  2. 🤣 This cracked me up! I can almost hear Opie’s thoughts… “No no no, not what I thought, not what I thought!” That face is priceless, Greg! Such a cute post! You made my day.

  4. Opie, Jo Jo and Me (Marv) are the same. We are allowed to go outside (no Catio). We will ask to go out the back, sniff the cold air and then turn around. 2 minute later we are at the front door demanding to go out and it is the same. We LOVE that you steal chairs too! We want to thank you for visitng our blog and leaving comments . You are all awesome and have a marvellously Happy Day!

  5. I’m with you Opie! I had to take a certain woofie (who shall remain nameless lol) out three times before noon today in the BITTER cold! Then, the crazy dog decides at 7:45 this morning that he wanted to take a 25 minute walk in the bitter cold! Of course, I did……the last time I took him out around noon I told him “mama is tired and she isn’t walking anywhere anymore today in this cold!!”

  6. Opie is beautiful, and so is the snow, but brrrrr! I’ve had enough! In recent news, In related news, I do now have two “snow” pictures to post – you remarked on the lack of them on my site awhile back, lol; maybe in about a month when I catch up with what I missed online while we coped with the recent weather mess here. (It was just a dusting but the temps were sub-freezing for days. We are fine and so are all the kitties.)

  7. Opie, I know how you feel! Snow is pretty to look at, but when you actually step into it—bleh! I don’t understand why there’s always a traffic jam on the weekends as people try to drive to the mountains to “enjoy the snow.” (Half of them aren’t even dressed appropriately for it: I’ve seen people in cargo shorts and flipflops, high heeled sandals and tiny sweaters, crammed into little sports cars as they wind their way into the hills.) Personally I’d prefer to hole up inside and sip cocoa while minding the video fireplace. Stay warm!

    1. In warmer weather, I have been up Mt Rainier and seen young girls in bikinis on cross country skis. It is a strange mixture of hot and cold but that sun will burn the hide off you! I do have a gas fireplace to enjoy. thanks for your visit and comments Hangaku!
