Nicholas exploring. He gets to run around on the second floor only. He is wary of people and likes to venture not too far from the bed he hides under for safety. He hides if approached but it is alright if he approaches. One must be still. Don’t know how long this will last–maybe a long time. He runs under the bed then turns and sticks his head out.

He’s a cutie, once he decides that he is safe, he will stay out much longer!

I’m sorry. Did I miss you no longer having Opie?

Opie is here alive and well. I just have not seen them cross paths. The stairs are blocked to keep Nicholas upstairs and Opie is downstairs having abandoned her private room. Both reindeer tents are downstairs but she won’t sleep in them anymore.

She’s been through a lot of changes recently. At least she’s getting more time with her human.

My goodness, he has lots of new spaces to explore. Hopefully he becomes less skittish as he gets used to all the new rooms, nook & crannies, and knows where he can be safe. At nearly 4 years old, our Pearl is still a bit squirrely – it’s just her nature. But she loves her cuddles too.

Aww he’s so cute! I’m sure he’ll be fine, you always read in these articles like on “Love Meow” about how cats come out of their shell when they come to their “furrever home”. 😻🥰

Nicholas looks like he is settling in nicely, Greg.

I think he’s doing well. It took Murphy a few weeks before he felt comfortable enough not to run and hide. I sat and talked with him, watched TV, etc. every day to help him get more comfortable with me and his new surroundings.

He is doing well and is getting used to his new surroundings. As Carole said, sit with him and talk to him so he gets accustomed to your voice and presence.

It’s good to see him exploring a bit. It probably won’t be long before he’s completely comfortable.

Nicholas The Explorer I like it MOL, LOL
Daisy Mae loved to explore like Nicholas & get herself into trouble when she was a kitten

I actually think he is doing very well and by summer he will not hiding. If you go sit in the room and talk gently, it won’t be long time before her comes out.
