Louie is too tired to move. It is no wonder as he runs all over the house now upstairs and downstairs. He races up and down the staircase. He never had room to run before or even walk. He checks on Opie a lot with his face 6 inches from hers, She growls like a Klingon, but no violence comes of it. He cleans off her food dishes. I have to watch that to insure she gets enough to eat.

Monday he went back to vet for followups. His eye infection is better. His ears still infected so they got washed out, and ear medicine continues. We don’t know status yet about the two different intestinal parasites, but switched medicines to attack the second one now. The other one was medicated first. He did not want to go to the vet and hid in his old spot under the bed. Removed the mattress to get him out.

It sounds like things are going well.

still fighting the parasites though

Aww. Everything is new and exciting. Poor Opie must be wondering what sort of creature she is sharing her home with. Hopefully the food insecurity will pass. He is very cute. Hopefully he will get a clean bill of health soon.

Just read up on Louisianna’s backstory. Poor kitten!
As much as I loathe the cruelty by neglect that those cats experienced, I think the woman responsible for that much suffering needs therapy. She might be suffering from some mental disorder. You know, started out with one or two strays, unneutered, then there were kittens and she did not know what else to do but keep them, got overwhelmed in her wish to save them from being homeless .. Yes, I knowk, those cats and kittens suffered, Dearly. She still might need treatment, not judgement. A prison is not a mental health facility. I am glad the cats now have much better conditions, get medical treatment and enough food and water. I am very sad that 10 cats lost their lives. For cats to scream for wanting out of there it must have been so bad. But I still hope that the person responsible was just overwhelmed and unable to see a way out. With the US having kill shelters it is not easy to convince people to bring cats to a shelter when you cannot take care of them any longer. Nobody wants their pets to go to a shelter and then be euthanised.

There was a crowd of people wanted the cats__not just me. There are no kill shelters but you can’t always get in. She may have mental issues. I am not sympathetic. The court will decide. Thanks for your comment and visit,

She WILL have mental issues. The cats won’t have yelled just while the rescuers are there. Plus the stink. You can’t drive around like that, when you are sane. I, too, think that the judge should decide, of course. I just think she might need a stay in a mental facility.

I am glad his legs work after being cooped up. Louie has no fear of Opie and wants to be friends. She isn’t ready yet. She is just vocal.

At the time…early 2000’s I called and asked if I could pay a vet tech to get her out from under the heavy oak bed. They did send one. (I paid him)
