Louisiana. The cat rescued from an animal hoarder along with 50 others–each named after a state has come home. He will be one year old in January. At the shelter they said all the rescues were pretty “chill”. He is pretty calm. He has gone under the bed into Nicholas’ old hiding spot, so I don’t have great photos yet. He is in temporary quarantine. He is underweight but likes to eat . He is quiet so far and not afraid. He is recovering from being neutered as well. My initial feeling is things will go well. Wishing for a happy ending.

Louisiana is a handsome kitty, Greg, and very, very lucky to have you take him in.

He is does look a lovely, and very lucky boy. He also looks a bit subdued, but that is to be expected with the terrible chaos he came from. It is good he is eating and is probably very grateful for regular meals. I hope he and Opie will get on well together after his temporary quarantine.

There were cats there looked related to him but I had to stick to one cat rescue. I am sure the others will go.

Yay Louisiana! He’s come to the right place. I once (in the early 1980s) lived a couple of doors down from a lady who had 26-plus cats in a one bedroom apartment. It was a sad situation. I’m glad you were able to rescue Louisiana. Are you going to call him Louie for short? 😻

He’s a cutie. I like the curvy whiskers and it will be interesting to see if he keeps them as he grows up. Paws crossed he settles in quickly and has a good introduction to Opie.

I wonder what it’s like for Louisiana to go from such a chaotic past to your calm, orderly home. Hoping too for a happy outcome. He certainly deserves it, as do you. 🙂

He does look pretty chill…though understandably serious. Purrayers for he and Opie to have a peaceful meeting when the time comes. Purrs.

Expect a few growls to show who is the boss and then they can keep each other company
