Louie’s Birthday One Year Young

Louie’s Birthday One Year Young. A week ago or so it was your first Christmas and now a birthday! So much excitement! No wonder you are under the bed. No more traveling around in the back of a truck. You’re in a new home where you will be well cared for. That is the best gift of all.

Not my arm in the featured photo. We do not have great photos as his safe spot is under the bed. Piles of toys are under there including the banana collection. He runs under there to feel safe. If I offer him a Greenie treat outside the door to his room, he will come out and take it and run back under the bed like a squirrel and eat it. Then if offered another, he will repeat. I can report he has realized the invisible force field keeping him inside his room is off, and he has been exploring the rooms on the second floor. He knows all the good hiding places. He is getting more confident daily. Bringing Opie up to visit results in her running back downstairs.

    Happy 1st Birthday, Louie. Venturing out and becoming a confident young boy is a lot of work! It may be a little confusing when you can probably smell some kitties who no longer live there and you can’t figure out where they’re hiding. But don’t worry, you know all the good hiding spots and Opie is waiting for you to come make friends.
