I adopted a new cat. He is 5 years old and his name is “Scooby”. I will pick him up tomorrow morning. Once I had 6 cats, and through attrition I ended up with the three I have now. I was going to continue without adopting any more cats. I do not want to be too old or dead to care for them in future. Scooby’s owner had to give him up because she/he could not care for him anymore.

 Zeke was the last cat I took in in 2009.  At the time he brought my total to six.  Life was much different then for me.  Scooby will be the youngest by a year at 5 years old. I would not adopt a cat any younger than that, but his age fits in with Zeke and Opie. I have no plans for any more cats, but I said that before.  Next weekend I will post a Scooby update, and report what progress he has made in adjusting to his new home and family. I need to get him to the vet as well. He has a few new mysteries to solve!
