Louie at dinner

Louie at dinner–not his dinner but my dinner! I eat at the dining room table. Over time I taught Louie he is not to run up to my plate and stick his face in it. If I leave the table he will go for it. Sometimes he inches forward to reach out his paw for something. I tap it and he pulls it back. Like most males, he is left pawed. If it is something suitable for him to eat, he can try it when I am done. I prefer him behind the bananas. If there is food anywhere else, he goes for it. The wooden box on the left contains the late Opie. Not shown are Scooby, Zeke, and little Nicholas. I eat with them all every day. Sometimes I put Opie back in my bedroom on her cat bed at night. The metal thing is an old Rayovac flashlight in case the power goes out.

sorry for spamming your comments 🙂 I posted a link in a comment but it says “waiting for moderation”. You’ll have to ok it before it shows up, or you can delete it. It’s a picture of Smokey eating Doritos.

It is nice to have them all diningwith you every day. Louie’s manners are improving as he learns that no one is going to be stealing his food.

I have Katie’s leopard in bed with me. He is exactly the same size she was. He has a little bit of heft to him so I put him on my chest as Katoe was, and draw comfort from that.

I wish I still had to “fight” her about trying to get my dinner.
