Nicholas

Another Day in the Life (4)

Another Day in the Life (4). A long time since I used this title. Now it is just Opie and Nicholas around the house. Today we will see the normal routine–4 am antics, playing with things, searching for Nemo and the invisible cat who returns today. In the top left photo you can see the red curtains I had to cut Nicholas out of as he hung by his front paws.

Nicholas is bigger

Nicholas is bigger. His tail has gotten bigger in proportion to his body getting bigger. He mostly holds his tail pointing right like he is signaling a turn. He still won’t let me pet him but he hangs out near me. He grabs my leg if I am too slow dishing out dinner, and one day picking up a food dish, he slapped it out of my hand. Opie sometimes lets him eat her food. He is constantly talking and likes to chase balls thrown on the stairs.

Zeke and Scooby

12th Blogversary July 24

Twelfth Blogversary. Did not think we would get this far. Of the four cats Opie, Zeke, Marigold, and Scooby, only the oldest–Opie–survived to today. Scooby and Zeke still only gone months. I’ll let Nicholas sit this post out. For twelve years these cats entertained you with their antics. They showed off their catio frequently as it was their favorite place to be. They wore funny hats and clothing, and played with lots of toys for amusement. It is sad for me to look at them as I loved them so much–maybe too much. For you oldtimers I present the Feline Cafe cats one more time for your enjoyment–Opie included.
