Scooby’s Summertime. Sitting in the window can be very hot, and sitting in the catio when the sun is upon it can be very hot too! It is very nice to put on my harness and go outside. It was too hot to walk about, so I just took a long rest under the big plum tree.

Hot or not, once that harness goes on me I’m down on the ground no matter. Hope it cools off a little, you handsome ginger mancat.

He is the King or at least acts as if he is. Since he is the only leash trained cat, he does own the grounds as the only one allowed to walk about outside.

Stay cool, Scooby! I hope you and your dad are okay and surviving this summer’s heat wave. The Olympic Peninsula area is supposed to be “better” this week, but even my save-the-planet son in Olympia is thinking of buying an air conditioner now. It was so hot, my relatives in Portland fled the city and came down here to California! Take care!

The hottest day was 108 and with no AC it was a brutal one. Cats were repeatedly dunked in the bathtub as they were overheating. It is the first time they did not complain or fight about the bathtub.
