Louie around the house (4) So things are going smoothly with Louie. He is always there to “help” with whatever you are doing. His Turbo Trac oval he slept in for a little while has been reconfigured to a circle again and he is whipping the ball around at warp speed. Maybe he wants to create a wormhole. He wants to pull pictures off the wall, so I had to remove some. Then he pulled out the picture hanging hooks! When he is done with his food, he covers it with toys or a sock. Later he will ome back to eat more. Sometimes I find a ball in his water fountain. He likes to ride around on my shoulder like a parrot when I walk around.
A house in Tacoma was raided and 105 cats removed. Only one deceased one. They got farmed out and some are ready for adoption. The thought did cross my mind–you know what it was–but I did not want to become a hoarder myself. On the legal front Louie’s hoarder mom has been to trial 4 times and had 8 hearings but no resolution. Two hearings scheduled for October with jury trial scheduled Oct 28th. November last year the cats were rescued. December I brought Louie home. Her sister said I paraphrase she had mental issues since she was a child and would never intentionally hurt the animals.
Finally a bonus original not AI photo from Northwest Trek Animal Park.

Is Louie’s hoarder mom under restriction forbidding her to own any animals? It sounds like the court is hung up on whether she is mentally fit to stand trial, though speaking from experience, people like her can appear very “normal.” (I used to have a neighbor who was a dog hoarder. I don’t think she went to jail, but her house was condemned and the 30 dogs who lived there were mostly put to sleep because they all had parvo and behavior issues.) She probably has no idea she did anything wrong. Which is sad and terrible.
Anyway, it’s nice to see one cat come out of there and into a good home. Lucky Louie! And I’ve always wanted to go on the wildlife trek! Maybe on my next visit to Washington.

Hoarding animals is a heart breaker. Mostly for the pitiful abused animals but those of us who love animals suffer too in the knowledge that there is nothing done about it and no resolution.

It breaks my heart whenever I hear about animal abuse.
If the sister knew what her sister was like, why didn’t she do anything about the situation? She is as much to blame and should also be held accountable. Enough is enough.

We will see how it plays out but it has dragged on so long I think no good resolution is ahead.
