In Deer Scooby, Scooby is in the catio alerting me to the fact there are two deer sitting down outside. Scooby does not like deer at all. Once he has seen them he does not eat or sleep but only runs around the house from window to window looking for them in an excited state. It takes him and me 24 hours to get over it. If I see them before he does, I go out and run them off.

Maybe Scooby is wishing he were a lion so he could have them for din din.

Scooby would be the cowardly lion. Besides he is very picky about food! Thanks for your comment Mary. 😺

That face of Scooby’s makes me melt every time! You must feel the same 🙂
Scooby doesn’t like deer? How interesting! I wonder what it is about them that drives him so crazy? I’d love to get into his mind and hear his thoughts!
Adorable photos as always. Love these kiddos. ♥

Freddie and Frankie have never seen anything bigger than a squirrel… although having said that, Frankie was a street cat before he was taken to the shelter so who knows… but anyway, there is a huge commotion whenever a squirrel gets close to the front balcony in the trees…. couldn’t imagine what would happen with a deer.

Scooby is the only one disturbed by them. We have squirrels nesting in the backyard trees so there is plenty to watch. The squirrels learned the cats cannot get out of the catio so they come close teasing.

I once got in between my cat and a squirrel… those squirrels have nasty teeth and claws… fortunately didn’t break the skin… won’t do that again!

Poor Scooby. He’s lucky to have you to chase off the deer intruders.

Unfortunately the chances of me seeing them first is slim.

Scooby is like how my Angel Bobo was. In my old apartment years ago, deer would be frequent visitors and Bobo would lose his mind!

Scooby makes a good guard kitty. Hope they don’t come inside either.

Not very likely! You have lots of deer I have noticed at your home. Scooby would not like that, but maybe he would like the turkeys! thanks for your visit and comment Crystal!

Y’know, Scooby. When we see deer we just ignore them. But the geese…now that’s another story!

I have never been a fan of them. They served their purpose as food to hunt in the ‘olden days”. Loss of habitat drives them Into the suburbs where they are pests who eat flowers and ornamental bushes and your garden. Scooby is a good watch-cat! Thanks for your visit and comment Athena! 😺

Maybe Scooby heard about Skeezix and the Vishus Deer from years ago! Because of their colour he may think they are extra big cats. We have a small herd that come through our bottom field once or twice a month.

Scooby goes for walks in the woods on a lead, so maybe he doesn’t like them lounging about in his territory. I think they just came for the plum trees, stuffed themselves, and then left.

Good job, Scooby! You can never be too careful with deer around. (Such a cute photo in the catio!)

I have seen them walk right up to the catio and look in. They are the largest animals Scooby has seen in real life, I believe. Thanks for your visit!😺

That is so funny about Scooby with the deer! He is really a character. 🙂 He would be going insane where I live. We have TONS of deer passing by on a daily basis. I don’t even notice them anymore. None of my cats ever seemed to notice them either.

I don’t know what Scooby’s problem is with them. I am glad they rarely appear. If he saw a lot of them, he just might stay inside. Thanks for your visit and comment Dee! 😺

Poor Scooby. I don’t know what my cats would do if they saw a deer. The most they see here is raccoons and skunks.

Do you get a lot of deer in the garden? Around where we have our summer-house there are quite many and they eat the flowers, shit on the lawn and bring a lot of ticks with them. But they are beautiful to look at.

I usually get 2 or 3 showing up for a day or two once a year. I view them as pests. Never thought about ticks. Thanks for your “likes” and comments, Maja! You got in here first today! 😺
