Reindeer Games. A couple Christmas’s back, Opie got a reindeer tent. This was when she lived in a bedroom on her own away from the two boys, who loved to bother her. They would sit in her tent just for spite. I got a second one for them downstairs. When they crossed over she moved downstairs into the master bedroom and never returned. She won’t use either tent. I took the tent downstairs but she doesn’t want it, so I put it back in her old room. Now Louie has found it and likes to sleep in it, or watch me use the PC. A new generation has moved in.

Over time the cats lose interest in some things but to a new cat, it is an interesting thing. That is why I don’t throw serviceable things away

I am glad Nicholas found the reindeer house and is happily using it. I do feel for poor Opie though. Cats can develop some aversions to things other cats have taken over. It sounds like she is happy enough to be in the master bedroom though.

You have the same problem I have–Nicholas died in December and Louie arrived in December and I mix up their names! Nicholas presence still felt.
