Thanks again Christine! She sends me them every year. The rhododendrons bloomed in the spring and are flowerless now; and, of course the photo is from 2017!
Breaking Personal News!
Christine asked me to write this post today. The breaking news story today is the story of Greg and Christine and how they found love.
In the 1980’s I was stationed for a number of years in the US Air Force in the UK in East Anglia. I spent a month on assignment in Scotland. Flash forward–About nine years ago I started a blog called “GW’s Cat Corner”. It was my first attempt at blogging. Christine, who lives in Scotland, also began a blog about her cat Spike. By accident (if you believe in accidents) we each became the first follower on each other’s blogs. Christine was more clever at the blogging technicalities than I so she helped me catch up. We became friends. We talked blogs and cats.
Opie is the Calendar Girl June 2018. The calendar was a gift from Christine
Every year a good friend, Christine who writes Spike the Scottish Black Cat, sends me a calendar made with photos from this blog. I am ready for 2017 as we have received yet another wonderful calendar. In the photo below is last years and this new years. Scooby did not appear in last years calendar, but he is amply represented this year. Thank you!
Today I will throw in a bonus photo of Marigold and Zeke resting. They do more resting than anything else! Next post will be an exclusive Scooby Feature!
Finally, I discovered WP added a new Google translate widget! I had an old translate widget I made with great effort, which I have replaced with the new one–top right. You might want to get one for yourself. =^,^=
Hurrah for “die wortlose Mittwoch”! Two weeks ago I had to deal with Woden or Odin’s day ie. wordless Wednesday. Today I can deal with the German day “Midweek”. That makes sense! I still haven’t got the wordless or wortlos part down yet–maybe next time. Anyway, Zeke is not allowed to play with plastic bags or even bags with handles, which can be hazardous, but paper bags are allowed.
It has been centuries since the calendar names of the days were updated.
