Happy birthday Zeke! You are 8 today! You are an old senior cat but you do not seem like one of those old timers! We shall look back at a few of your old photos on your special day. First, a few facts about you:

This post wishes a Happy Birthday Marigold (14)! Seems like birthdays have been coming fast and furious around here. As I stated recently, Marigold is the oldest cat here. She was four when I got her at a special Adoptathon at our local kill shelter in Tacoma. Their kill ratio has been much reduced since I obtained Marigold. They had 300 excess animals–too many to house, so they had to go that weekend! Got my cat carrier and went down there at opening time. There was a big big crowd. As soon as I saw Marigold I claimed her. I had not been inside two minutes! The aisles were packed with people. I knew if I walked away, and came back, she would be gone! So here she is! The birthday is really the Gotcha Day for her, but I just arbitrarily call her’s a birthday so every one here has one. She was picked up as a stray in Tacoma, Washington. She was obviously a house cat as she was very friendly. She gets along well with all my other cats, and has to my recollection never done anything forbidden! She is the last survivor of my old crew. She is now 14 and my other three cats are all much younger. I had a difficult time finding her first photo but I got it here below:

I am glad Marigold (Aug 2013) could climb down out of the tree!

This post is about a couple birthdays. First I must explain the handicap I am up against at the moment. In short, I only have one eye with vision and it is giving me lots of trouble. It is impossible to see clearly. It is very difficult to read no matter what I do. Doing a post is very difficult. That said, the good news is that it is not permanent, and I must just suffer through for now. I have had this problem many times before. I do have some long posts I did in the past which I am saving. Soon I may put them out slowly. It makes it difficult for me to read, like and comment on everyone’s posts as well–especially German ones. I try.
What has this to do with birthdays? I have missed reporting Opie’s birthday in April and Marigold has a birthday this month. It is too difficult to make “clever” cards to post, so this I can do. Opie had her 7th birthday, and Marigold will be 13 years old this month. I am glad they are both healthy. They have always been healthy. I have found a photo of them together in the catio from last year, so here it is in honor of their birthdays.

I cannot believe the little fluff ball is 6 years old! He never seemed to mature from a kitten mentally, as you can probably tell from the photos of him that are published here. He was born of two feral Maine Coons. He took up residence in a flower pot on a neighbor’s front porch. His original name was “Mop”. They did not want him. I did not want a sixth cat either at the time, but I took him anyway. He was so cute and small. “I won’t take up much room,” he said. I am glad I took him in. Now he is the male of the household of 3 cats. We have made an adjustment to his birthday using astrology, and now fix it on July 8. Following are some older photos of him most of which I do not think have been shown:
