Lawn care is required, as the weather is beautiful, sunny, and hot. The grass grows quickly. I must get my lawn tractor out to mow it. This is easier said than done.

Opie: I want to drive!

Scooby: I want to drive!

Opie: Why do I always have to ride in the back?

Time to put aside differences and rest
Scooby is back to his normal self. Here he is out in the catio again enjoying the weather. Wednesday it is back to the vet for another blood test and more instructions.

For four years I have had three cats. With the addition of Scooby I am now back up to four. This is the first photo of them all together in the catio:

Live from Washington is as close to live as I can get today. From the car backseat I snapped this photo of Mt Rainier hidden by the clouds. It would make a nice Pacific NW header. Zeke is enjoying the moisture up his nose out in the catio between rainshowers. Zeke, a Maine Coon, will frequently sit out there in the rain and come is soaking wet! Notice the board behind him has been used as a scratching post, and will soon need replacement.

The best of both worlds is not being inside or outside, but inside and outside! We have had some very cold frosty weather. Feeling the warmth of the sun in the southern window, Marigold and Opie wish they could be outside. They look at me with asking eyes, but the answer is no to them!

A short while later the two big boys Zeke and Scooby are insisting the catio be opened up for them. I relent. Zeke jumps right out. I may have well just put him in the chest freezer, as it is so cold!

Scooby is not so hasty to jump outside. He knows a secret–well, it is not a secret–everyone knows it, but only one cat at a time can enjoy it.

Scooby knows the furnace is on, and blowing warm air up out of the vent below him, so he can sit in the window with his nose in the cold, and his body being warmed!
