I cannot believe the little fluff ball is an adult! He never seemed to mature from a kitten mentally, as you can probably tell from the photos of him that are published here. He was born of two feral Maine Coons. He took up residence in a flower pot on a neighbour’s front porch. His original name was “Mop”. They did not want him. I did not want a sixth cat either at the time, but I took him anyway. He was so cute and small! “I won’t take up much room,” he said. “I don’t eat much!”
He won me over. I am glad I took him in. Instead of one of six–the bottom of the barrel, he is now one of three. He is afraid to go outside. He is afraid he won’t be able to get back in, I think. In ten years he has only been outside to go to the vet! When I began blogging about ten years ago, he was my blog star, and my personal “avatar” or “gravatar”, which he has remained to this day. Happy Birthday Zeke (10 years)! May you have many more! ❤️️❤️️❤️️

Zeke is my Love Christine’s Calendar Cat pick for July 2019. The calendar was a present made by Christine and Spike, and sent late last year for use this year. Zeke is an internet favourite. Christine has been sending calendars to me for many years now. I hope she never stops making them for me. 😻😻😻

Three Outside in the Sun shows my three cats getting some fresh air. Opie stars as she gets to run outside without a harness on. She was very good outside and did not go running off. She was mostly interested in eating grass and having a look around. Scooby stayed in the catio as he and Opie don’t get along, and he would be a distraction and incite bad behaviour in Opie. Zeke has always been afraid to go outside, except when he is safe in the catio. At any rate, all three got some fresh air and sunshine.

Today we are back having a Rainy Washington Day. Storms rolling in from the Pacific drenching us unceasingly, in other words, just the usual. Zeke was out in the catio and got soaked, so now he is by the west window sulking! No one can go out, not even Greg to do his morning walk. Sorry, Zeke, no end in sight! We might have come back from Voodoo Island too soon!
