What day is it? EVERYDAY!

What day is it? EVERYDAY! X’ing off the days on the calendar has never been more important! I wonder if the cats know the difference? I think they notice the changes in the weather. First we had unseasonable hot weather to suffer through, and then we had wildfire smoke to breathe, and now today the typical Pacific Northwest constant rain falling down cleaning everything. The cats still lie about and try to find something to do but mostly it is sleep.

Scooby and the Vacuum Revisited / Squirrel

Several years back I posted these videos of Scooby and the vacuum. Since there are plenty of new people browsing around the Feline Cafe–no masks required, I have posted these today to once again illustrate that Scooby likes the vacuum. He is a real annoyance as you can see trying to vacuum as he won’t even get out of the way for it. He likes to play with the wand as well. So there you have it– video and audio proof! No, he is NOT deaf! No matter how quietly you try to open a tin of cat food, he can hear it and come running out of a dead sleep! As a bonus, today I add a video of my clockwork squirrel on the dining room table. He goes much faster if he is wound up tighter, but I am afraid to break the spring. If you do not have audio working, you can hear the squirrel chew his nuts. His eyes used to roll around but alas no more!

Another Feline Cafe Monday

Yes, it is another Feline Cafe Monday. It is hard to tell one day from the other, but that is not very important to us here. Today we show the boys eating. Unfortunately Scooby is a food bully, and has to have his food bowl given to him first. If someone else gets a bowl first, Scooby goes over and sticks his head in the bowl pushing Zeke’s head out; therefore, I prepare two, put down Scooby’s and then Zeke’s, at a respectable distance. What about Opie. She gets delivery to her bedroom, and no one would dare mess with her bowl! It’s nice Catio Weather and Zeke spends most of his time outside in it. Scooby eats and sleeps mostly. Finally we show Opie in her catbed in her room.

The Visiting Cat

The Visiting Cat is a view of a local cat who has been frequently visiting our house. He has been around for several years, but I don’t know where he lives. Life here is very quiet. The Visiting Cat always gets the cats activated. Where is Opie you may well ask? Opie spends her day in her bedroom on the second floor on the windowsill looking down on the catio and backyard. She sees a lot and knows more than she is telling. She is free to come and go inside the house. Scooby likes napping out there in the catio in the fresh air.
