Reflections 9

Well, another Thanksgiving is gone. Some people had great Thanksgiving, others average, and some terrible. Looking back, most of the average ones were actually great, but I just did not recognize it at the time. I have had them all at one time or another. Now we are steaming full speed ahead towards Christmas. It seems like Christmas will never come, and then all of a sudden it comes racing towards us, and no matter what we do, we cannot slow it down. Today I feel more like an extra on “The Walking Dead”, so I shall just post another “Reflections” post which I put together months ago, and was waiting for a good time to post it. My eyesight took a temporary turn for the worse, and I can just barely see what I am doing. Reflections is my series of unposted older cat photographs. They may have been posted and never viewed or from my deleted Blogger blog. They are pre-Scooby.

1917 Thanksgiving postcard

Happy Thanksgiving!

Once more I will dive into my father’s postcard collection. He kept many of them when he was a child, which I found after he died carefully stored away in a box. Most of them are Valentines–some of which I previously posted. Today for Thanksgiving I have only one “new” one to post. It was copyrighted in 1917 but sent in 1922.

Zeke warns: Don’t eat too much Turkey on Thanksgiving!

Like every Thanksgiving, the cats will be prowling about underfoot when they smell the turkey roasting. Fear not that they will each have some!

Scooby the cat

13 October Scooby gotcha day

October 13 is Scooby’s Gotcha day!  I cannot believe we have had Scooby here for one whole year! What a wild ride! He got sick and almost died earlier in the year, and we have been fighting less serious medical problems. But, we are glad we brought him home. Zeke is especially happy he is here, as he needed a male playmate. The girls did not like rough-housing.
