Opie has been very good about walking about in the garden with supervision. She does not go far from the door, and usually stays outside only long enough to eat some grass. Today Scooby is out as well. Normally she only goes out by herself, and Scooby only goes out by himself. It is easier to handle them that way. Today is an experiment. Zeke never goes outside. He is afraid to go outside.
Three Outside in the Sun shows my three cats getting some fresh air. Opie stars as she gets to run outside without a harness on. She was very good outside and did not go running off. She was mostly interested in eating grass and having a look around. Scooby stayed in the catio as he and Opie don’t get along, and he would be a distraction and incite bad behaviour in Opie. Zeke has always been afraid to go outside, except when he is safe in the catio. At any rate, all three got some fresh air and sunshine.

Opie is my Love Christine’s Calendar Cat pick for May 2019. The calendar was a present made by Christine and Spike, and sent late last year for use this year. Opie is an internet favourite. Christine has been sending calendars to me for many years now. I hope she never stops making them for me.
Happy Birthday Opie! You are ten years old today. You do look younger than that. Let us first remind everyone you are a girl and not a boy, don’t have red hair, and don’t live in Mayberry. You used to belong to a neighbor who lived behind my house, but you liked my house better and moved in. The neighbor let me keep you. How lucky was that? Fortunately you have stayed here with us and never moved on. Happy Birthday Opie!
