Opie was Christine’s Calendar Cat for March 2018. Here she is enjoying being outside on a sunny day in the catio.

Opie says No to Snow. She made a big fuss for me to open the window leading to the catio. I didn’t want to let all that cold air in but she made a song and dance about it, so I relented. I knew she wouldn’t like it and I was right. One look out there was enough to bring her into the house and look at me as if it were my fault it was cold outside. So she settled down on my computer chair just for spite. Hopefully the snow is gone for the rest of this Winter and the “snow cat” blogs will be over.

Today we show just a few “Christmas Activities”. Many cat toys were delivered by Santa Claws to our house. Nip was shared. A new cat tunnel with three openings tested Scooby’s decision-making skills. Which way should he enter and where should he come out? As usual the Christmas wrapping paper was a big hit and it could be heard rustling well into the wee hours of the morning. The Christmas tree was only tipped over twice this year.

Is this not a Merry Christmas II? Early in the year everyone was panicked they were going to get the virus and cleaning everything, wondering if they would make it to Christmas! Now vaccines are being distributed already in the USA and hope is alive! We spent most of the time at home in isolation as much as possible. The measure of a good year for us was always getting through the year without a cat fatality. It isn’t birthdays but how many Christmas’s you had that matters. Many cats this year have crossed the bridge sadly–some I have followed for a long time. I will miss them all. Looks like my three have made it through another year again which is a blessing. Opie and Zeke have been with this blog from the very beginning of it. 2020 is almost gone into the history books. Rejoice! Below Opie is having a “bad Santa hat” day!

Merry Christmas (2020)! We are thankful we all made it through 2020. Hopefully 2021 will all be downhill! See you on the other side!

Reflections of the past shows some pre-Wordpress blog photos from the old days. I started blogging in 2010 or maybe 2009 I can’t remember. The old blogs are deleted long ago. I also deleted most of my WordPress 2013 and 2014 posts to gain free storage space. The photos today are from 2010 and 2011 Opie and Zeke in no particular order. They were younger then: so were we all and much happier as well. . . . The featured photo is new: Mt. Rainier with a cloud cap. Good News: COMMENTS Allowed again on new posts!
